How much improvement does the accumulator provide?
Technical SpecificationsReduce pump pulsation
without the high cost
Achieve a huge reduction in pump pulsation and spurting with Charles Austen's accumulator. NSF approved and ready to improve your dispense without the high price of a standard pulsation dampener.
Performance Details
Pulsation
Reduction
NSF Approved
Food grade materials and no trapping make this NSF approved accumulator a safe and easy addition to your machine.
Control
Improve pulsation control of low viscosity liquids by over 150% versus standard pumping
Innovative
Traditional pulsation dampeners are complex and expensive. The accumulator turns the pulsation problem on its head with an inexpensive solution.
Accumulator
For All Pumps
If you're experiencing pulsation or spurting, the accumulator is for you.
Simply add the accumulator in-line on your existing fluidic system and you'll see a massive reduction in the peaks of your pump cycle in both suction and flow phases. For flow rates of 0.25 L/min to 6.5 L/min and pressures of up to 2 bar, the accumulator works simply with no moving parts. All with a small footprint, around 3.5" x 2".
Connectors
An easy addition
8mm connectors (with more options on the way)
Attach the accumulator as close as possible to your pump source with the 8mm straight connectors. These are great for hose clamps or even quick connect (ie, John Guest) fittings. It's important to leave the vent (in the center of the accumulator) open to atmosphere to allow the accumulator to reduce pressure spikes. See the video below to understand the impact of the vent on the functionality of the device.

Still have questions?
See how the accumulator functions in this video. We've got a standard 24V RD1 pump showing off the accumulator with water. When the thumb covers the vent, it shows the flow as if the accumulator was not attached. When the vent is released, the accumulator shows off how much pulsation it reduces.
